What You Can Expect
I have established a reputation as a premier driving instructor, so you can expect the best instruction, assessments, advice, and more.
To back this statement up, in 2018 I won the AA Driving Instructor of the Year Award. However I am no longer with the AA as I believe I can offer my Northand customers a better experience as an independent instructor.
I specialise as a teacher to those who wish to learn in a manual car. However my driving experience encompasses a wide range of vehicles, both manual and automatic, vans and small trucks and even larger trucks as well as motorcycles. I am able to draw on my experience to know how to teach my students how to drive safely in a range of conditions and in their own vehicle or mine, be it manual or automatic.
I also have a lifetime of working with young people as well as those not so young in years, and am able to bridge the generations and communicate effectively to all I am asked to teach.
So you can expect from me; courtesy and respect, an honest listening ear when talking.
You can also expect a well-found knowledge of the law about driving in New Zealand, enabling clear and timely instructions from me when you need them.
I also provide concise notes to back up the lesson material.
About our driving lessons
You’ll learn to drive in a modern dual-controlled car – it’ll make you feel safe and comfortable while you’re starting to learn on-road skills for New Zealand's unique conditions.
The theory you need to learn is incorporated into practical training while you’re in the car. I will chart your progress with my personally-created key driving skills card. It's a blueprint that helps me to identify your driving progress and needs.
My car has been fitted with a security camera to ensure that you are in safe hands.
